D | 在北极海冰上开展冰站作业要克服哪些困难？又该如何借助布放的各类观测设备，探寻北冰洋气候变化背后的深层规律？ 冰站作业首先要寻找合适的冰。“探冰小组”是冰站作业的先遣队，一般是两个人组成，一前一后。前面的人拿着探冰杖去探路，后面的人负责瞭望周围冰情，利用冰尺测量冰洞位置的冰厚。
E | 如果冰太薄，就无法支撑无人观测设备撑过夏季融冰期，所以，要找到相对平整、有一定厚度的海冰，方便立起三脚架，开展仪器设备布放作业；同时，选点附近不能有过多融池和冰裂隙，这样设备的持续运行时间才能尽量长。
F | 中国第16次北冰洋考察队海冰队队长屈猛说，本次“雪龙”号共开展12个冰站作业，是历次北冰洋考察单船之最。 常规北冰洋考察单船一般布设大约6个作业冰站，采集基础环境数据和样品、布放冰基浮标。而“雪龙”号本航次共完成12个冰站的作业任务，并实现多点组网观测，有助于更好地掌握北极的快速变化特征与机理，提升气候预测的准确度。由于任务重，为了抢出充足的作业时间，“雪龙”号比往年提前近一周出发。然而，中国第16次北冰洋考察队大洋队队长秦川说，他们却遇上了更为复杂的冰情。
G | 因为今年来的时间比往年要早很多，所以海冰的覆盖率太高，非常不适合进行大洋作业。 北极天气也变幻莫测。“雪龙”号实验室主任谢海翔说，能见度突然变得很差，就是北极的日常。比如短期的团雾，能见度只有几公里，对于北极作业来说风险是很高的。 即便找到了合适的位置，布设设备依旧需要精细操作。考察队队员彭景平说，每天海冰队队员都要在风雪中至少干上七八个小时，最长的一次，几乎有20个小时。 克服重重阻碍，冰站作业才能真正开始。考察队队员安宝宝介绍，此次布放的生态无人冰站是该系统首次在北极实现应用示范，让科学家能更好地了解北极冰下的生物如何在极夜过冬，怎样在极昼迎来第一缕阳光。 布设现场，考察队员指着一旁的冰基浮标向记者介绍，这类浮标可以同步采集冰下水文和冰上气象数据，为极地气候变化提供数据支撑。中国第16次北冰洋科学考察队首席科学家何剑锋说，以本航次布放数量最多的冰基浅水剖面浮标、冰基深水剖面浮标和海冰漂移浮标为例，国产化率能达到90%以上。 而另一边，“雪龙2”号也正在7个冰站开展冰基浮标布放、冰芯采样、海冰遥感观测等20余个作业项目，这7个冰站包含6个短期冰站和1个长期冰站，将与“雪龙”号冰站站位协同构建起观测阵列，以便更深入地探究北极快速变化背景下的北冰洋中央区大气、海冰、海洋相互作用及其与生态系统的耦合效应。 中国第16次北冰洋科学考察队领队王金辉介绍，作业期间考察队员将全面观测海冰融化过程中大气、海冰、上层海洋以及冰下生态过程动态变化的相关参数，为研究北冰洋海冰快速变化及其机理和生态系统演变获取科学数据。当前受到全球气候变暖驱动，北极自然生态环境正发生快速深刻变化，海冰消融等趋势加剧，关乎人类生存和发展的共同命运，具有全球意义和国际影响。
